The minor in biochemistry introduces students to the principles of chemistry and biochemistry. Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes of living systems and focuses on the structure, properties, and function of important biomolecules, such as proteins, DNA/RNA, and carbohydrates. Students pursuing the biochemistry minor will take courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, quantitative analysis, and biochemistry.
