The Manufacturing Systems Engineering (BSMFE) program, housed in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, provides students with the skills and knowledge for successful careers in manufacturing systems and processes, which includes practical applications ranging from manufacturing processes to cyber-physical systems. The BSMFE is supported though multidisciplinary research and education in intelligent and advanced manufacturing systems and processes. Through the Alabama Initiative on Manufacturing Development and Education (Alabama IMaDE), students in the Program are exposed to advanced manufacturing technologies widely used in today’s global industries.
Students earning the Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering (BS) degree must complete all University, College and departmental degree requirements for a total of 129 credits. These include General Education requirements and the following major requirements and ancillary requirements.
