The Sport and Performance Nutrition minor gives students a foundational understanding of how nutrition supports physical activity, training, and overall health. Designed for students from diverse academic backgrounds, the program emphasizes practical application of nutrition principles to enhance performance and well-being. Students will examine the roles of macronutrients, hydration, and energy balance in exercise and recovery, learn evidence-based fueling strategies, and critically assess common nutrition claims and products. Graduates will be prepared to communicate simple, effective nutrition strategies for recreational, competitive, and high-demand physical activities
